While it is important to get back to some kind of normalcy, we must remain vigilant with hand washing, mask wearing, and social distancing.    In order for my reopening to go well, there has to be mutual respect and honesty.  You need to know and trust that I will not work if I have any symptoms of illness or if I have come in contact with anyone testing positive for COVID-19, that I will disinfect and clean properly between clients, and that I will take your health as seriously as I take my own.  In return, I expect you to cancel if you’re exhibiting any signs of illness or if you come in contact with a COVID-19 patient during past 14 days, and to follow any state guidelines regarding travel.

As before, some things will remain the same:
I will be scheduling only two clients each day, with at least one hour or more in between appointments.  This allows you some space from others, and allows me to disinfect the treatment room, bathroom, and commonly touched surfaces.  I change the linens and wash them in hot water with detergent and bleach.
Before and after the massage, I wash my hands thoroughly from fingertips to elbows.
If you are feeling any symptoms of illness (fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough, chills, fatigue, body aches, GI distress, etc) please let me know as soon as you are unwell, and there will not be any cancellation fee.  If you miss a scheduled appointment without contacting me, I view it as a no-show, and you will be responsible for the cost of the scheduled appointment.

Some new things to expect:
Please wear your mask.  It would be best if you have one that goes over your ears rather than a bandana, neck gaiter, or mask that ties on back of head.  This way I can access your neck fully and you’ll be more comfortable lying down without anything on the back of your head or neck.  I will be wearing a mask, and you have the option of asking me to also wear a face shield if you want that extra layer of protection.
I will be taking my own temperature daily, with a contactless thermometer.  You can take your own temperature at home or I can check yours when you arrive.  Any temp over 100 degrees F will result in cancelling your appointment.
I will ask you to sign a consent for treatment.
I will ask you to wash your hands before getting on the massage table.  And it's always good practice to arrive for your massage freshly showered.  As usual, you will have access to the bathroom, and as usual, it will be cleaned for each client.   Hand sanitizer is also available to use anytime.
I will wash my hands, as usual, fingertips to elbows, and you will have the option of asking me to wear gloves during your massage.
When you go prone, and put your face in the face cradle, you will be allowed to move your mask down and away from your face, for better breathing.  I will use a large pillowcase on the face cradle to create a “hammock style” fabric balloon to catch droplets or aerosols that you may exhale.

I will continue to offer a 60 or 90 minute massage, and rates will be the same as before, $90 and $135 respectively.   I do accept cash or check.   Please have your check filled out before you arrive and you can just place your payment on my desk after the massage.  We can rebook then or via text or email.   Some clients have also started paying via PayPal, and that is acceptable too.
